Cain Veterinary Centre recently took delivery of their new Ultrasound Scanner, a state of the art ATL HDI 5000 from Mount International Ultrasound Services. Mark Overend, Director Responsible for Small Animals said "We decided to upgrade our Ultrasound equipment to keep up with some of the very latest advances being made in the fields of cardiology and diagnostic imaging. We are confident that our diagnostic imaging is second to none, and that means our patients get an accurate diagnosis."
       
Mark Overend runs a cardiology and diagnostic imaging referral service to local veterinary practices, and will be running some  ultrasound courses for vets in practice throughout 2008 and 2009.
The first course, titled "Practical Abdominal and Thoracic Ultrasound" will be held on the 24th April 2008 in Llansantffraid. Details will be available from MIUS or by ringing the surgery on 01691 828205
