Cain Veterinary Centre is a RCVS approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice. To achieve TP status, we have had to prove that our procedures, practices and policies have met the rigorous standards as set by the RCVS. Currently, we have 2 fully qualified Veterinary Nurses (Miss Jenifer Wildman VN, and Miss Joanne Parkes VN). Both nurses already have a wealth of experience spanning several years in veterinary practice, and their expertise in caring for our patients is paramount in our commitment to excellence in veterinary practice.
Our nurses provide the support for our small animal vet, Mark Overend.
As you will see, we all work closely as a team; we are committed to doing the best for our patients as if they were our own, and we don't ever forget how important your pet is to you!
All vets in practice have their own special areas of interest. In this practice, Mr Overend is particularly interested in Cardiology (heart problems), Diagnostic Imaging (reading radiographs, ultrasound and endoscopy), and is a keen orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon. Since qualifying, he has spent more and more time attending courses and studying to improve his expertise and experience in these areas.
Mr Overend is currently enrolled and studying towards a further qualification in Veterinary Cardiology. We also offer a referral service to other vets in the fields of Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging. Our vision of the future is that we as vets in practice locally will share our individual skills and expertise with each other, so that our patients get the best care that is available.
