Michèle Jenkins VN PHC MBVNA has been working in veterinary practice since 1985, and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from Mabel Fletcher College in Liverpool in 1992. She has worked in various practices, and also as deputy manager at RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Hospital. She has particular interests in wildlife/exotics and diabetic/obesity management. Michèle is also a trained pet health counsellor and Pet Insurance Advisor.
Emma Gerrard Dip AVN (Small Animal) Dip HE CVN, RVN, C-SQP, PHC, MBVNA Emma began nursing in 2000 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 from Myerscough College,Preston. She passed a Higher Education Clinical Veterinary Nursing Diploma in June 2009 and then gained the RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in January 2010. She is currently studying towards the Bsc (Hons) Clinical Veterinary Nursing top up degree and hopes to complete this in March 2011. She is a trained Pet Health Counsellor, diabetes and pet insurance advisor. Emma has a keen interest in orthopeadics, surgical nursing, feline behaviour and nurse clinics. She has a Border Collie called Nell, two cats, Basil and Marley, a rabbit called Torres and Neville, the guinea pig.
Joanne Parkes RVN worked at Berwyn Veterinary Centre in Llanfyllin for 5 years before joining Cain Veterinary Centre. She qualified from Holme Lacey College in April 2006, and is a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Jennifer Wildman VN is a fully qualified veterinary nurse. Originally trained at Rodbaston College,Stafford, Jenny spent 6 years working for Green Hollow Veterinary Surgery, Ruyton XI towns before joining Cain Veterinary Centre. She is also a fully qualified pet insurance advisor.
Our nurses have additional advanced training in veterinary anaesthesia. They are available by appointment to give advice on pet healthcare, worming, dental healthcare and are normally responsible for post-op wound checks, bandage changes etc.
